ABOUT ME

Emma Griffiths is an artist, social media and campaigns manager, ecologist,  and photographer whose photography is a discourse on the utopic and dystopic dynamics of the human world. She aims to capture the serious, the funny, and the profound in life by paying attention to the details of human presence in street photography and the whimsical connection we have with nature (animals).

With a background in Fine Art (BA Hons) and Environmental Conservation (MSc) and a passion for curating, Emma has a unique perspective on art practice and our everyday connection to ecology, with an ambition to use content creation and social media as a form of storing memories and documenting history, education, and research.

Emma has experience as a social media manager and campaigns manager for LOVE (NYOUM) and has utilised her connections to the art world to launch a digital art project within the platform called LOVE Masterpiece, bringing the opportunity to everyone to create art in conversation, and within a growing digital art space.

Emma has taken what she’s learned from curatorial thinking and brought it to other fields. At the very beginning, she volunteered as a curator's assistant and worked on various public art projects, including organising her own public art workshop to educate the public about plastic pollution through art activities. She also founded an Environmental Arts society at her university and developed a strong understanding of how social media can be used as an educational tool and revisited this idea in 2020 through Under the Maypole of a Bowerbird, a digital archive of environmental artists and art movements that have shaped the world we see today, and are still shaping the future ahead of us. Her goal is to use her creativity, enthusiasm, and unique perspective to bring ideas to life and make a meaningful contribution to the world.

Social Media and Campaigns Manager
LOVE - A new way to communicate (NYOUM)
London
May 2022 - current

As a social media manager and campaigns manager for LOVE (owned by NYOUM), a revolutionary communication platform that uses visual expression and live transcriptions to humanise online communication. I have played a key role in driving brand growth and engagement.
I developed an effective social media strategy from the ground up that better aligned with LOVE's vision, as well as increased social media activity. I built in-house production within the company, allowing high-quality content to be produced on short notice, and I have created a wide range of content for social media, including videos and graphics, with content reaching over 13k accounts on social media platforms.

In my role as a campaigns manager, I have initiated brand-building campaigns to spread LOVE's vision to promote stronger online connections and a more humanized approach to online communication. In the first four months, I launched an arts program LOVE Masterpiece on the platform providing the opportunity for all users to create original works of art through the lens of renowned artists, virtually collaborating with artists by sharing the world through a combined perspective, as well as connecting users to the digital art space through their everyday method of communication.

These experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in social media strategy, content creation, campaign management, and product development, and to use my passion for the arts and digital art spaces to make a positive impact on online communication and the internet as a whole.

I created content by documenting exciting opportunities and showcasing the work of the department, and I also shared information about species and habitat protection.

My efforts contributed to the success of the Instagram account and the course gaining a wider online presence.
